Pre-K FacilitatorHi, my name is Kecy Viner, and I am a Preschool Facilitator. I have been working in Aurora Public Schools for 12 years. Before coming to Harmony Ridge P-8, I worked as a transportation para-educator, a preschool para-educator, and then earned my degree in 2014 to become a preschool teacher. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my husband and son, finding inspiration on Instagram, and shopping at Target. I am excited about building our community at Harmony Ridge with our students, staff members, families, and neighborhood. I am determined to provide each of my preschool students the experiences and skills needed to become successful life-long learners while keeping the classroom environment fun.

Pre-K FacilitatorHello, my name is Chrystal Rosin and I am excited to be joining the Harmony Ridge P-8 team as a Preschool Facilitator. I have lived in Colorado my entire life and I love the beautiful scenery and all the open space. I can’t imagine living anywhere else. Throughout my career I have spent 8 years working in Aurora Public Schools as a speech pathologist assistant and a para-educator. In 2018 I finished my coursework to become a Preschool Facilitator, and I have spent the past two years as a Preschool Facilitator at Clyde Miller P-8. I am so excited to work with Harmony Ridge’s youngest students. I think it is vital to make their first experience at school a great one. It is important to me that I give my preschool students the tools they will need to be successful in Kindergarten and beyond. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my husband, two children, and two dogs. We enjoy spending time outside riding bikes, playing at the park, and going to the pool. I can’t wait to be a part of the Harmony Ridge community.

KindergartenHey! My name is Karina Garcia-Gonzalez, and I am very fortunate and excited to be joining the Harmony Ridge P8 family this year as a kindergarten teacher. I am a Colorado native, and I would not have it any other way, this states' scenery is breathtaking! This will be my fifth year in education with previous experience in kindergarten, as well as second grade. I graduated from Regis University with a bachelor’s in Elementary Education and a Culturally Linguistically Diverse Education endorsement. I love working with children, and I live to watch them flourish each and every day! I have an open-door policy; everyone is welcome in my classroom! I strive to have a classroom where students feel safe, comfortable, valued, represented and where they can become lifelong learner while having fun! When I am not teaching, you can find me watching sports, working out, cooking, or simply spending time with my family! I look forward to being a part of your child’s educational journey. It is going to be a wonderful school year!

KindergartenI am excited to announce myself as the new Kindergarten teacher at Harmony Ridge. I am thrilled to be a part of this community and excited to embark on this journey of learning with you all. I am a Colorado native, and although have moved around the country, this will always be my home. I graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder (Go Buffs!) with a degree in Business Marketing. However, after years in the real estate field, I knew that I wanted more with my career and the opportunity to help change lives. With support from my first mentor, I left the real estate after 5 years and began my teaching career in Jeffco Public Schools as an Early Childhood Educator. I taught ECE for 2 years while I attended a licensing program at Metro Denver to receive my license in Elementary Education. I transitioned to DPS where I accepted a teaching position at University Prep teaching kindergarten literacy and science for two years. This experience taught me that all students can, and should, engage in rigorous learning, and will be successful when given the opportunity. I am excited to bring my knowledge, love, and passion for teaching to Harmony Ridge, and to help our youngest students grow socially and emotionally as well as help prepare them for a lifelong love of learning.
In my spare time, I am happiest when I am with my family, my dog (Alfie), in the mountains, traveling, enjoying Colorado sports games, and spending time with friends. My two young nieces remind me how important education is, and keep me continually learning and growing to be the very best educator I can be. I am thrilled to be a part of the Harmony Ridge community and I look forward to meeting you!

First Grade Literacy/Social StudiesI am thrilled to be a member of the Harmony Ridge team! I am eager to begin our journey and make Harmony Ridge a wonderful place to learn!
I was born, raised, and until recently lived in Ohio. I graduated from the University of Dayton and received dual licenses as an Early Childhood Educator and Early Childhood Intervention Specialist. I worked briefly as a preschool intervention specialist before transitioning to first grade. I taught first grade at an Ohio public school for three years until my husband's job transferred us to Colorado. I am so excited to continue my work as a first grade teacher at Harmony Ridge!
My love of hiking, camping, and live music made the transition to Colorado easy and exciting! I spend most of my free time outdoors. You can find me hiking in the mountains, at the dog park with crazy puppy, or laying in a hammock with a good book!

Second Grade Math/ScienceI am excited to introduce myself as one of the second-grade teachers here at Harmony Ridge. I am extremely happy to teach math and science.
I am originally from Santiago, Chile, South America. I attended the University of Chile and got a bachelor’s in science. In 2000, I moved to the United States. I started my teaching career as a 4th grade teacher in Miami Dade Public Schools. In 2007, I moved to Denver and I started working as a first and second grade teacher in an ELA S/ELA E classroom. After two years in Denver Public Schools, I began to work in Aurora Public Schools. During these 11 years in the district, I have taught second, third, and fourth grade.
Additionally, while working in APS, I went back to school and obtained two masters’ degrees from the University of Colorado in Denver. First, I got a masters in Culturally Linguistically Diverse Education and then I got a master’s in special education. I am looking forward to meeting the members of the Harmony community.
When I am not working, I love spending time with my family. As a family we love camping, hiking, and traveling. I love visiting national parks. So far, my family and I have visited 42 national parks. I love traveling with my girls. Last summer I explored Peru and Chile and I saw Machu Picchu, Lake Titicaca, and the Atacama Desert.

Second Grade Literacy/Social StudiesHello! I am so excited to be teaching second grade at Harmony Ridge P8!I am a Colorado Native, born and raised in Westminster. I went to the University of Wyoming on a soccer scholarship and received my degree in elementary education. I currently live in Aurora with my husband Derek and our three kids Abby, Thomas, and Madelyn. When I was in high school, I had an incredible English teacher who inspired me to go into teaching. She had such a passion for teaching and went above and beyond every day to make sure we had a love for reading. When I went to college, I started a degree in secondary English but quickly discovered that my passion was teaching younger kids. I switched my degree and I have loved teaching ever since! I have experience teaching pre-k as well as first and fourth grade. I am so excited to teach second grade! My classroom is a safe space where students are engaged, and all contribute something to the classroom community. I want students to love learning and enjoy being at school as much as I do. I am looking forward to the opportunity to help students grow into well-rounded individuals! Personally, I enjoy reading, spending time outside, traveling, and trying new experiences with my family. We spend a lot of time in the mountains at my in-law’s house and we love hiking and exploring. I love to try new recipes and improve my cooking skills. Our kids keep me very busy and we love to enjoy the zoo, museums, parks, and swim in the water. I look forward to meeting you!
